Gsm Now?

Since the merger with TMobile, can I know use a GSM phone with Metro PCS? I want to know prior to any purchase and signing up with them.

No. The post-merger phones are dual band phones. when you are in 1x or 3g coverage areas the phone still operates on the same CDMA network. When you are in a 4GLTE coverage area the phones switches to t-mobiles network.
