How do I cancel my Metro PCS account?

I want to cancel my Metro PCS account. Can I do this online or do I need to call them?

I cancelled today by calling 1-888-863-8768, then pressing # several times, then 1 to get a live person. It took me 12 minutes to get a live person (1 minute after finding the instructions on the contacthelp.com site!), and then cancelling was easy after that. I suppose you could also just not pay your bill like the other answer says, but I was worried that if I received any calls after my billing cycle was up, that I'd end up owing for the whole month so I decided it was best to proactively cancel. Step 1. Call 1-(888)-863-8768

Step 2. Enter your information as prompted (cell # / 8 digit security code)

Step 3. Press # and the system will connect you to a Customer service member. Within 1 minute yuo should be canceled.

The only way to cancel your acct is thru calling 1888-8metro8. you would have to request to talk to the Customer Appreciation Team. So far, is the only way you can cancel your whole acct. Hope this helps!
