Series Of Beeps When Engine Turns On Or Put In Reverse

2008 Mercury Mariner hybrid-- we have been experiencing problems with what we believe is the electrical system.  Car runs fine but radio, tire sensors, and "wrench" idicator go on and off randomly.  Radio turns off right after we hear a series of high pitch beeps either when turning engine on or putting car in reverse.  Tire pressure/sensor indicators go on about 20 min. into highway driving and off approx. 5 min. later.  Wrench indicator is more random.  Not sure what is the problem?
