Rear Door Sensor

My alarm goes off and the console says says right rear door ajar. Is my sensor bad?

open the door in question. on the door post (where the hinges are) there is a plug in connection that has all the door wiring. Be sure this connector is plugged all the way in & not loose. There is a green button in the middle of the plug. This button locks the connector in place. This solved my problem !
