2006 Mercury Mountaineer Liftgate Randomly Opens While Driving

while driving the liftgate randomly opens as if i have pushed the button on the remote.  Only happened once a week at first, but now opens every 30 to 50 miles.  Driving over bumpys seems to make it worse.
