Procedure To Replace Front Turn Signal Bulb 3457nak For 2000 Merc Marquis?

I removed protective cover. Cannot disconnect electrical connector from bulb without using much force. Afraid I will break bulb socket assembly. Assembly appears to consist of several parts. Do these all remain together when trying to disconnect the electrical connector from bulb. Don't want to chance breaking assembly. May be less expensive to have work done by Ford dealer. Comments or advice? Diagram of whole assembled part might be helpful.
