Possible Alarm System Problem When New Battery Is Installed.

Installed a new battery. When I connect the battery terminals, not only the horn sounds, the trunk lid opens, the headlights and taillights turn on. When I turn the key to crank the engine, only the Bendix drive spins, doesn't engage the flywheel. I've tried looking for an alarm reset switch or button under the steering wheel area and haven't seen one. I've tried pushing the unlock button on the remote, nothing happens. Tried turning on the ignition with the doors locked and unlocked, nothing happens. Tried using a key on the door lock, nothing happens.
