Built In Speakerz

Why would the built in speakers quit working on a portable DVD player. Memorex MVDP1102. The sound is there when using auxiliary cables or headphones.

Unfortunately it sounds like the speakers are dead. If it's under warranty then I would send it in to Memorex for repair.
