Memorex Mdf1071-blk Just Flashes Memorex Log On And Off.

When I power on my MDF1071, it just flashes the MEMOREX logo on the screen for about 1.5 seconds, then the screen goes black for about 5 seconds.  I can not get it to present a menu or anything useful.
