Problem Manual Shifting 1st 2nd And Third Gear

Just had the clutch replaced. Now when I shift from a stop from 1st to 2d and 2nd to 3rd gear I hear and feel clunk sound. I tried to shift betweeen 2d and 3rd gears rolling at around 5 to 7mph with the clutch pedal pushed all the way to the floor. It should be shifting smoothly and quietly like it did before the clutch was changed. The mechanic who did the clutch replacement suggested I dbl clutch. I did that and I think it stops the kink when I shift. Impractical when I'm in the traffic. He says probably the trans shaft is still spinning when I push in the clutch pedal to shift. I went back to him 3xs already he still says when he drives it theres no problem that he can find. I'm concerned if it keeps going like this my trans synchronisers will eventually get damaged. What could this be?
