The struts are worn out.  Expect to spend about $65 per strut  and instalation is 3 nuts on the top strut mount and one nut/bolt on the lower mount. Just dont attempt to disassemble the strut itself. The spring surrounding that shock has enough tension on it to go thru you and the wall behind you. The replacement strut should come pre-assembled but sometimes not. If you find that to be the case most parts stores have loaner tools made to deal with the spring tensioning. Most parts manufacturers send them out assembled because that spring coil is like handling a loaded rocket launcher if not aproached properly so dont improvise just borrow the tensioning tools.

If you agree that the answer I provided is correct please remember to "accept" and/or mark it as "helpful" so I know I'm doing a good job. Thank you, I would really appreciate it.
