How To Reset Or Disable Factory Alarm On 02 Protege? Where Is Valet Button?
I have a 02 protege. Battery died unexpectedly. Charged it to 71% (bad cell so wouldn't charge all the way. ) put it back in and started tightening the cables, sparks flew and alarm went off (sounded sickly) . Unlocking the car with remote didn't turn it off, I've tried just about every thing. When cables are loose the car sounds normal and I was able to turn it off by unlocking door with key twice and locking it twice with key or vice versa. But once I tightened cable it's going crazy again and won't turn off. I heard there's a valet switch but can't find it. My car will not start either. So please answer asap. Car had no issues prior to this problem.
