Washer Not Starting Wash Cycle

Maytag Bravos MCT model mvwx655dw0 - washer never went in to spin cycle after rinse, door unlocked and it just sat there. Took clothes out and tried to restart with just a couple of towels in washer -Press start, door locks, starts sensing spins one time, and door unlocks. i tried this again with the washer completely empty with the same result. I unplugged washer for 2-3 minutes and the washer still does the same thing with or without clothes.
