How Do I Get The Top Off My Washer?

The rod that holds the tub in place has come out of it's bracket at the top of the washer. The top seems to be screwed to the bottom panels instead of the usual clips that make access easy to pop it open.

1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.

2. a. Turn off the water supply to the washer.

b. Tape the lid down.

3. a. Remove top screw from each hinge on the back of the control panel.

b. Remove wire harness cover. On the left, below control panel on back of washer.

4. Slide top forward about ½ ",

5. Raise the top about ¼ ".

6. While still keeping it lifted, push the top

back about ¼ "

7. Tilt the top up on the rear hinges.
