If you can supply the serial number you can probably find the age using http://www.needapplianceparts.com/applianceserialnumberbreakdown.aspx. That site also helps users to locate the serial number. Otherwise you may have to ask the manufacturer: instead of calling customer service use the corporate contact information at http://www.corporateofficeowl.com/maytag/Corporate%20Office.

This washer is discontinued. For used, try http://www.searchtempest.com/, which will provide many useful filters, will let you search locally or country-wide and even globally, and covers Craigslist, eBay, Amazon, and many other sources. In case you don't immediately see it listed, you might want to use a free tracking program like https://www.followthatpage.com/, to avoid having to repeatedly check back.
