Door Lock Light Blinks And Machine Won't Start

brand new machine, lights come on, but following directions to start, door lock light begins blinking and nothing else. Cannot get machine to start. Also frustrated that, despite Saturday delivery, neither home depot or maytag customer service are available on weekends.

HAVE YOU TRIED PUSHING THE DOOR SHUT, SOMETIMES IF YOU HAVE A FULL

LOAD IT DOESN'T COMPLETELY LOCK.
