Intermittent Drying Cycles

I purchased this model less than a year ago. Worked great up until recently, but now it intermittently works and fails to dry clothes. Always hot inside when opening, but clothes will still be damp. Timer stayed at 12 minutes for over 2 hours this morning, and clothes STILL damp when it timed out, showing 'dry' on the led bar. What are possible problems to check before obtaining a warranty call?
