Drainage Speed And Food Filter/grinder Maytag Mdc4809aww - 24' Jetclean Plus

I have a brand new portable on its second wash. I noticed the drainage pump removes the water ever so slow like about 90 seconds. I checked everything out. Is this normal? I had a GE and the watrer gushed out much faster. If you dont prewash with normal use does it create clogging problems and other mecahnical issues in the longer term. My wife insist on pre washing before putting them in for cleaning as they may sit for 24 hours.
