MY washer is showing the code LR it makes me mad its only 4 years old the repair man was here an checked everything an said everything he tested passed the test I can wash 1 or 2 loads and then it keeps getting the LR code he said just use it till it stops working altogether and charged me 63 dollars nuts never buy a front loader maytag again

Sorry to hear about your issues. My front loader (a Kenmore) leaks out the front door all the time.
The LR code stands for "locked rotor". It means the machine has tried to turn the rotor but can't. This link shows the error code descriptions and tests that can be run: error codes
From what I understand this is not something you can fix yourself. I recommend having a different local Maytag certified tech come by who can look at it. A different local repair guy might give you the straight dope on the issue. Make sure that who ever it is is reputable.
