What Do You Plug Into -no Computer-? Router? Or Modem?ethernet Cord Mj-plus?

I bought two of the magicjack-Plus, one for my son who has no computer. I regiistered it, got the area code & number, but it doesn't work. We are confused, because the instructions say to plug the ethernet cord into a modem or router? If you have no computer, what do you use? what is a router? where do you get one? I can't get an answer on the 1-281-404-1551, it's always busy, and when I try to get customer support on the computer under the magicjack listing I get the sales page. Please help! ASAP Vivian Covington

The magicJack PLUS device plugs into the AC adapter, which plugs into the AC outlet. On the left of the unit you have a socket for the phone cable and one for the LAN cable.

A router is a device ordinarily used to enable a local area network or to act as a firewall. You can buy it ar Radio Shack or wherever you buy computer accessories.
