Generl Questions About Installing Magic Jack Plus

I currently have Vonage and thinking about switching to Magic Jack Plus. My questions are:Do I need my computer on to receive calls? Phone land line needed for USB portal? Does it include International Calls. I call Mexico regularly. Caller ID and can it take messages when I'm not there.Thank you.Bobbie

No, you need not keep your computer on in order to make or receive calls.

Only the very first time you have to plug the Magic Jack into the USB port in order to register and activate the device. A screen will pop up and then just follow directions.

After that is done, plug your ethernet cable and phone into the jack and pug it into an AC outlet. You may have to get a "splitter" so you can have one ethernet cable going into your computer and the other one into the MJ. Hope that helps. WarrenCR
