Malfunction E1 Signal Coming On

My magnavox comes on but it starts to make a noise an the E1 comes on. I have tried to unplug it and reset it with the button behind the heater as well.

What does E1 mean on my Magnavox heater?

overheated

The heater displays an error code "E1" 1 . The heater has overheated . 2 . Insufficient power to the unit 3 . The air filter is clogged .
