Defrost

What would cause the freezer bounces back and forth between 20 degrees and negative 20 degrees. Items thawing and redressing. I was thinking it might be the defrost timer, but I don't see a defrost timer in the parts list. Any thoughts on what else could cause this

How do you defrost a Magic Chef?

Magic Chef Manual Defrost

Your Magic Chef microwave keypad will say "TIME DEFROST" or "TIME DEF." Simply press this button, input the desired time and press "START." During a defrost, the microwave automatically sets the power level to 1/3 its normal level.

It may be an issue with the defrost thermostat.
