Lyft does not document any special procedures for its drivers to request a ride. The regular procedure is laid out at https://help.lyft.com/hc/en-us/articles/213584098-How-to-Request-a-Ride. If you've been told there are exceptions for drivers, or if you want to see anyway, use the contact information here--https://www.contacthelp.com/lyft/customer-service. (We're an independent help site not connected with Lyft.)
