Cross Traffic System Alert On 2014 Lincoln Mkz Hybrid

As I was backing out of my garage Cross traffic system alert came on and car stopped. Then rear brake notice came on. I turned car off, then back on and a wrench icon appears in dash display. Eventually it went away. The next day as I was backing out of parking space (no cars around or behind me) same warnings came on, car just stopped like brakes were on. Turned car off and back on and warning light went away.

Being a new car, I suggest you take it back to the dealership where you purchased it!
