Inside Backseat Vanity Mirror Came Out

The fold down vanity mirror in the backseat of a 2005 Lincoln Town Car has become detached from its ceiling mount. Nothing appears broken, but I can't get the front and back half of the vanity mirror to stay together. I think I can get the mirror back into position, but I can't force the front and back half of the vanity mirror back together around the two silver projections from the right and lift sides of the ceiling holder.
