1999 Lincoln Continentl rough idle and almost no performance until RPM's are over 1800...then the car takes off like a bullet. I have searched for a fuel pressure regulator, but to no avail. What is your advice? Glenn Bushouse Richland, MI

High idle is most commonly the result of a vacuume leak. Next time the car is running, pop the hood and listen for hissing.
