Lasko Fan U35100 Not Oscillating

the guard comes off by rotating several clips around the outside of the guard. there may be two rivets or screws at the bottom that have to come off. the blade is held on by the white knob. it is screwed on with a left hand thread. hang on to the blade and turn in a counter clockwise direction. pull off the fan blade. there will be a roll pin in the shaft. the roll pin must be removed. the two halves of the housing are screwed together. take out the two screws. the housing also has the bottom pivot for the oscillations. this is a rivet not a conventional bolt. rotate the motor armature by hand until it reaches its extreme direction and you'll see what's broken or stripped. on your computer find a parts place for your particular fan. nelson appliance may have the parts or can steer you to a place that will have parts.
