Removing A Door Seal

Hi, I need to remove the rubber door seal on my LG WM2496 front load washer and give it a good cleaning. Is there a proper and easy way to get it off and then back on? It seems to be on really tight and I am worried that once i get it off it won't go back on easily. Thanks David
