Rubber Door Seal

My wife washed a bed cover, as she has many times, but somehow the rubber door seal became twisted. The machine was making an banging noise, as though it was off balance. When she opened the door, she found the rubber seal twisted and now we can not close the door again. How could I take the rubber seal off & straighten it out or replace it?
