perhaps the drum is not completely empty. thats what happened to mine. i had to wait quite a while, but once i did open i realised that i had a prob with drainage and had to call a guy in anyway. 
try opening the front panel (with towels underneath) and drain the drum out. worth a try. usually you open it with a big screwdriver or the flat of a butterknife.
