Why Does The Compressor Not Stay On?
Just purchased this product, trying to cool an area less than product specifies- wondering why the unit keeps turning the compressor on and off every few minutes? it is blowing cold air, but not cooling off the area- the vent is going out of this area and it is well insulated. Do we not have a setting correct or something?

The compressors on these smaller units are not designed for continuous operation. They turn on and off by design.
I would recommend that you verify that the rear of the unit has adequate space around it and is not blocked off.
If the unit is not blowing cold enough to chill the room there may be numerous things aoccurring. Excessive heat outdoors will limit the effectiveness. A poor coolant charge will cause the unit to be inefficient.
It may be of benefit to have a local tech look at the unit or if under warranty retrun it to the retailer.
