Since This Is Hooked Up To The Window And Outside Air, Can It Attract Bugs?

Person that has this unit in his bedroom found a very small house centipede on his bed. Since they are attracted to cool moist places, wondering if it crawled inside this AC unit since it is cool and wet inside and the air blew it out onto this person's bed. Just wondering how this small creature could end up in the middle of his bed so quickly. It was about 1/4 of an inch long.
