Lmx25964st Alarm Cannot Be Turned Off Without Disabling On Controlpanel.

Initially problem seemed to be related to switch on lower freezer door but now it just intermittently starts beeping in the middle of the night, when there are no door ajar. Apparently LG seems to have many related problems with alarms sounding without cause on quite a few of its refrigerator models. I do not want to defeat the feature but believe that LG has a responsibility to fix it for its existing customers or we will as a customer class, do what we did to Chrysler, if you get my drift. After on line research showed many frustrated customers with same problem, I would like to see a corporate fix for what seems to pervasive in many models.
