Temp Control

We recently purchased a LFX25976ST refrigerator. Since we turned it on, we have not been able to control the temperature. Currently we have raised the refrigerator control to 42 degrees and it is 26 degrees in the fridge with a manual thermometer. Any help would be appreciated.
