Lg Dishwasher Diverter Motor Won't Stop Rotating
After replacing a failed diverter motor on an LG LDS5040WW dishwasher, I noticed that the new diverter motor does not stop rotating, even after pressing the POWER button (off). I can hear the micro switch continuously click and unclick 3 times per minute. The only way to make it stop is to open the front door or pull the breaker off in the house. I checked that the micro switch is functional (continuity only when button pressed). What could be the cause of this? I am afraid that the diverter motor will wear out prematurely in such a situation. It may actually be the reason why it failed in the first place. Thanks.
