Water Spill On Sink Above Ldf7561st, It Stopped With Error E1. Is There A Reset

A large water spill on the sink above my LG LDF7561ST (which was in operation at the time). It made a sound, stopped operation, displayed Error E1 and will not turn off. This was a day ago. Should I wait for it to dry out, apply some reset or do I need a service call?

If water got on the wiring it probably tripped the circuit breaker, reset it.

Your LG dishwasher normally has a small amount of water left on the bottom of the tub. This keeps the water seal from cracking or drying out. Error codes alert you to a problem with your dishwasher. An "E1" error codes indicates that your LG dishwasher is leaking. This alert does not specify where the leak is coming from. Look all around your dishwasher, including inside the main housing. An "FE" error indicates that your tub is overfilling, which can cause leaks. Check your water inlet valve, which is located on the rear of the machine. If this component has broken parts or won't turn easily, shut off the water to the dishwasher and order a new valve. This component is difficult to fix. The valve may also leak as it wears out.
