Dryer Not Drying
My Lg Dryer Is Not Drying My Laundry What Could It Be.

Hi, this is Russ, I'll be helping you with your problem today. THANKS! A dryer requires heat,motion,and air flow to dry. My bet there is the HOME VENTING IS RESTRICTED SOMEWHERE FROM THE BACK OF THE DRYER TO WHERE IT EXITS THE HOME. What happens is you get warm damp clothes. The heat builds up in the dryer and cannot be exhausted along with the moisture. This confuses the dryer sensor and thermostats. Also rather then lint flowing through the filter it stays on the clothing. THANKS
Customer :I am going to look now and see if this fixes the problem.
RUSS :I am supremely confident it will.......this is a common problem and the bad part is it can be anywhere from where the dryer is to where the vent exits the house. The vent outside where it exits is a likely point.
Customer :Currently we live in Northern SK, where the temp today is -25. I often wonder if the outside air is the problem. I will go outside and check that right now too!
RUSS :Is the dryer in a cold room???

Customer :but it's not terribly cold...probably about 65 down there
Customer :it's only 67 upstairs
Customer :just waiting for my laundry to finish washing then I'm going to try out the dryer
RUSS :the temp surrounding the dryer will have an effect on the dry times....however, I think not to the extentyou state. STAY WARM!
Customer :Thank you. I will pay once I am confident the problem was the dryer exit vent.
RUSS :that is great.....did you find it clogged???? i once found ice surrounding one not allowing the flaps to open
