Gas Valve Assembly Part Failure To Open.

Replaced gas valve assembly part twice thinking the first part may be defective. Each time I tried to operate dryer the gas valve assembly failed to open an supply gas to the ignitor. Puzzled as to what is limiting valve from opening. Only other part replaced was the ignitor and I have verified that it is operating as it should

There will be another sensor which verifies that the gas is alight and if not it turns off the gas. It is referred to as the 'flame sensor'. This could be your problem as if it is faulty you will not get any gas.
