Converting To Lp
LG DLG2351R Dryer. I am receiving a conversion kit to lp today, I need to know the proceedure of getting to the valve/orfice (Do I have to take the dryer apart?) and how to install the kit and do the adjustments.

You will have to take the top and the front off the dryer to get to the gas valve which is located at the front right corner of the unit. This is not difficult. The conversion kit from LG has the instructions with it.
There are six screws at the top rear of the dryer. Remove the three screws that are below the rear lip and slide the dryer top back about two to three inches and lift it off. Then remove the two screws that hold the plastic control panel on. There is one in each top front corner. They face forward. (It is not necessary to remove the two screws that point down) Now, starting at one side, unclip the plastic control panel from the frame, working your way across and set it gently on the top. Be careful not to damage the wiring.
Now you have exposed the four screws that hold the front on. Before removing them, first open the door and remove the two screws under the lint trap. Set these aside as they are a little different. Now remove the top four screws and tip the front out. There is an electrical connection at the top center for the door light. Unclip the connection and remove the front panel.
Now you can see the gas valve. Behind the valve is the brass jet and a long tube. The tube is the venturi that must be removed in order to replace the jet.
BE VERY CAREFUL HERE! Don't do what I did and push the venturi back into the ceramic ignitor. The ignitor is fragile and will crack if impacted. $43 and a wasted afternoon. Take your time and slide the venturi back gently and remove it. Next remove the jet and replace it with the one in the kit. replace the venturi. One last step. On the top left side of the gas valve is a white plastic screw that must be screwed down on the regulator. Turn just the slotted plastic screw down firmly but don't reef on it. Just snug.
Now reassemble the dryer. Turn the gas back on. Check for leaks and your done.
