You haven't mentioned whether the TV comes back on on its own or not. First I would put new batteries in the remote in case they are borderline and sending a corrupt signal. It could be a fault in the TV with the receiver section which would need an engineer to resolve. Does the TV switch off if any other buttons are pressed or when you change channel using the buttons on the TV? If it happens when any button is pressed on the TV then there is a fault in the TV. Difficult to offer a diagnosis on the information supplied. However the user manual can be downloaded from here if not available:
