Connecting Tv To Sound Bar

i want to connect my lg 42ls3400 tv to my lg nb3730a sound bar there is no optical out on my tv help ive try hdmi cables no joy

HDMI would be the optimal connection, be sure your tV is set to the proper hdmi conection. Id that does solve it you could use the component audio connectors. As a last resort you could spring for a hdmi to optical converter.
