Clean Light Blinking Four Times

My Kitchenaid stopped working. My guess is that someone took a hot shower when I was about to wash the dishes, hence the "clean" light blinks 4 times in a row, stops, then proceeds to blink 4 times, and stops. When I opened the door, there was a sound of small beeps. Various websites have told me to reset the control panel, which did not work at all. Would it be possible for me to wait for the hot water instead and then the dishwasher will function normally?

According to the manual: Blinking LED's can also occur when certain errors have been detected. In this case, the Clean/Complete LED will blink 4 times in a row with a pause in between each set of blinks. When this error occurs, the controls will lock out and not allow another cycle to be started.
