Purpose Of Part Found In Refrigerator

What is the purpose of the white cylindrical shaped ( but opened at one end) plastic part found loose in the refrigerator? KitchenAid KSSC42FTS - 42" Refrigerator KitchenAid KSSC42FTS - 42" Refrigerator

I had a refrigerator with that and it goes between the vegetable crisping drawers right in the middle..I guess more support. The large open end is the bottom and I found mine worked better by going up close to the front NOT the middle that is where I needed more support .  Good Luck and I hope this works for you.
