Induction Cooktop No Start

Induction cooktop failed imediatly after install. Replacement cooktop failed also did the same after about ten minutes. A pop sound and then it went dead. Hired electrician who confirmed proper voltage,breaker size,connections, and proper wiring. Any idea what the problem is?
