Water Dispenser Connection.

I CURRENTLY PURCHASED A KITCHENAID FRENCHDOOR/BOTTOM FREEZER REFRIGERATOR, MODEL # OF KFCO22EVBL. HOW DO I CONNECT THE WATER SUPPLY LINE FOR ICE/WATER FROM MY CURRENT WATER LINE WHICH IS PLASTIC AND NOT COPPER. EVERYONE TELLES ME THAT IT HAS TO BE COPPER. MY OLD KENMORE FRIDGE USED A PLASTIC/NYLON TUBING FOR THE WATER LINE AND I WOULD LIKE TO JUST USE THAT SAME CONNECTION TO THIS NEW KITHCENAID FRIDGE.
