It sounds like the control board or keypad may be faulty. The control board is responsible for sending signals to the microwave to turn on and off, and the keypad is how you interact with the control board. If either of these components is not working properly, the microwave may not work correctly.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following:

Check the power. Make sure that the microwave is plugged in and that the outlet is working.

Check the door switch. Make sure that the door is closed properly. If the door switch is not working properly, the microwave will not turn on.

Check the keypad. Try pressing the different buttons on the keypad to see if they are working. If any of the buttons are not working, the keypad may need to be replaced.

Check the control board. If you have checked all of the above and the microwave is still not working, the control board may need to be replaced.

To replace the control board or keypad, you will need to contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

Here are some additional tips:

Make sure that the microwave is clean and free of food residue.

Do not overload the microwave.

Use the correct cooking power level for the food you are cooking.

Allow food to cool down completely before removing it from the microwave.

If you have tried all of the above and the microwave is still not working, you may need to contact KitchenAid for further assistance.
