What Causes The Ice Build-up On The Bottom Of The Freezer?

More often than not, this is caused by a clogged drain in the back of the freezer. Have you checked to see if there is an ice dam? I would take your food out of the freezer and look in the back to see if there is any build up. If there is an access to the area behind the drawer wall, that might be a good thing to check for clogs as well, if you don't see anything visible in the drawer itself. If there is build up, can hit with some hot air, chip at it, etc-- just be careful not to injure yourself or the freezer in the process!
