Recharge Battery?
I have not used the Kindle for a couple of months and when I came to use it the battery needed recharging! A graphic of a battery, a USB connecter and a lightning flash appeared on the screen. I connected the device to a recharging lead and waited. The orange light appeared but went off after about 2 hours. The device is not recharging! I have tried another recharging lead but that also does not work.

I recommend calling Amazon support so they can walk you through some troubleshooting. They can also replace it if it's under warranty. You can find contact information here.
