Kenwood Ddx419 Won't Play Ipod

my kenwood ddx419 will play sound on tuner and on cds.  when i plug in my ipod it will show me all the info but it jut wont play anysound.

i had the same problem with my unit, the one weird thing about this particular deck is that in order for the ipod mode to play sound you have to not only havre the usb in but also the aux cord pluggefd into both the ipod and the deck itself then your sound (or lack therof) problems should be eleminated

YOU MUST HAVE THE 3.5MM HEADPHONE PLUG INSTALLED TO PORT ON BOTTOM LEFT OF THE FRONT OF UNIT AND POSSIBLY NEED TO CHAVE AV2/IPOD INPUT SETTING IF YOU ARE TRYING TO WATCH VIDEO AS WELL
